Ballina Salmon Festival Friday 10th July - Sunday 19th July 2009

Ballina Salmon Festival dates back to the early 60s and was revived in 1990 and has since gone from strength to strength to become one of the most vibrant and diverse festivals in Ireland to-day. Each summer it attracts around 150,000 people from all over the world

It is a family-orientated festival giving ten days of fun-filled artistic and cultural events catering for all age groups putting smiles on faces from the very young to the very young at heart and everyone in between.

Children's events will include workshops, art &Literature, puppet shows, Science & engineering workshops, not forgetting Teddy bears picnic a family day not to be missed.

The Lady of the Moy is a night of glitz and glamour Get your cowboy boots for Country and Western night See Ballina Step back in time for our national heritage day and see the craft of years gone by.

The Lacken Strand Races
The Lacken Strand Races is an annual horse racing event take place every year in May. Children will be very entertained with Children's Athletics, Children's Amusements, Bouncing Castles, Slides, Cup and Saucer Races. Also includes Sukie racing.

The Bonniconlon Agricultural Show
The Annual Bonniconlon Agricultural Show takes place every August Bank Holiday Monday. There are classes for bloodstock, livestock, farm & garden produce, cookery, arts and crafts.

Crossmolina Agricultural and Industrial Show
The annual Crossmolina Agricultural & Industrial Show is taking place at Ballyhamuck (Crossmolina) on a Saturday at the end of July. There is £15,000 in Prize Money and 20 Valuable Cups to be won. There are classes For cattle, horses, ponies, sheep, donkeys, home industries, photography, cookery & crafts. Extra classes in Vintage section.

Enniscrone Show
The Annual Enniscrone Show is taking place on a Saturday at the end of August. There are classes for cattle, sheep, horses, cookery, horticulture, arts and crafts, photography, dog show, sheaf tossing, craft demo and many other events. Exclusive model village on show, by popular demand. Show dance is in the Castlearms Hotel with the show queen.

North Mayo Agricultural Show , Ballina

Ballina agricultural & horse show- 72nd year

Jumping events: 11th, 12th & 13th July 2008 Agricultural show: Sunday 13th July 2008

This year the Ballina Agricultural Show is proud to announce that it will once again play host to the prestigious national Grand Prix & National Championship horse events, which will see world recognized riders competing at our grounds. It has won coverage with both TG4 & sky Television. The show this year will also host a competition for Diarmuid's Pony Kids which is a very popular reality RTE show with Diarmuid Gavin & Jessica Kurten.

On Sunday 13th July there will be showing classes of horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, photography, cookery, crafts, flowers, and horticultural as well as jumping events.

There will be music & entertainment throughout the day, ie., face painting, bouncing castle etc..

The committee of the show would like to thank our sponsors & supporters for their generous contributions over the years, this year being no exception. We would also like to thank the Rural Social Scheme (Ballina) for their wonderful work in preparing the grounds to host the show.
