Much of North Mayo is drained by the world famous River Moy and its tributaries which comprise Ireland's most prolific salmon angling waters. This magnificent river has produced over 7000 salmon to the rod . The Moy offers a variety of fishing including top class fly water, spinning and worming and fishing is available to suit all tastes and budgets. The importance of the region for fishing is under pinned by the great lakes Lough Conn & Arrow that yield brown trout, whilst sea angling is popular in Killala bay. The Moy Estuary is excellent for sea trout. There are many beats on the Moy to suit all angling preferences and budgets - full details can be obtained from the North West Regional Fisheries Board (can we have a link to them please).

All fishing requirements can be arranged through our local contacts by contacting reception or Email us for more information: ie: Boats, Gillies, Licences & Permits etc

For more detailed information on fishing in North Mayo, contact the NWRFB Angling Officer, Markus Müller, at Ardnaree House, Abbey St., Ballina, Co. Mayo. Tel: 096-22788, e-mail: mmuller@nwrfb.com or visit www.northwestfisheries.ie.
